We would like to answer the most important questions about sperm for you and show you what is possible with sperm.
What is sperm anyway and how is it composed?
Sperm is the ejaculate of the man, which shoots out of his penis during climax and which contains the sperm. However, the little floaters make up just 0.5 percent of the total ejaculate.
Between 2 and 6 milliliters of ejaculate are ejected during a man's climax. Not very much, then. But what exactly is it made up of?
In addition to the liquid, which contains the sperm and makes up around 10 percent of the ejaculate, 20 percent of the ejaculate is made up of prostate secretion and 70 percent of other liquids.
Overall, healthy semen is slightly alkaline and may even have a mild anti-depressant effect when ingested vaginally due to the hormones it contains, according to a study by the
State University of New York.
Sperm and the taste - what's the truth of the myth?
There is a persistent rumor that men can change the taste of their own sperm by eating a pineapple, for example, and thus make it more pleasant to swallow. However, this is actually just a rumor.
Although eating habits can change the taste of sperm in parts in the long term, such a short-term effect relationship is not to be expected. As a man, you can practically eat whatever you want without this having any effect on the taste of your sperm.
Can sperm transmit diseases?
Unfortunately, we have to answer this question with a resounding yes. Sperm can also contain viruses of various diseases. Through unprotected
oral sex, you can contract
diseases such as HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and other sexually transmitted diseases.
The dangers are a little less than with normal intercourse, but they are still there. So if you don't know anything about your partner's health or it's a one night stand, you shouldn't do without a
condom even during oral sex.
Sperm in the mouth - swallow or spit?
For many men it seems to be important that their partner swallows the sperm during oral sex. But let's be honest, there are no really rational reasons for this. Every man has a different sense of taste and preferences. While some don't even want to have the semen in their mouth, others enjoy the taste and like to swallow the semen.
No one can be convinced against their will that it would be particularly great or important to swallow the sperm during oral sex. A suitably ready cloth can simply be used to dispose of the sperm inconspicuously.
Is there really a sperm allergy?
The term sperm allergy sounds like a funny excuse at first. But this allergy really does exist, even if the people affected are allergic primarily to the protein contained in the semen. In Germany, however, there are currently only 60 documented cases.
The number of unreported cases in this area, however, should be significantly higher. Symptoms of a sperm allergy are typical of allergies and range from skin irritation to respiratory distress or even anaphylactic shock.
Overall, it can be summarized that sperm will probably continue to divide opinions in the future. While some people like to have sperm in their mouths and play with it, others want to have as little contact with the liquid as possible and reject the smell and even more so the taste of sperm.
