Ballstretcher Field report by Bernd

About 25 years ago, I saw a Ballstretcher for the first time and wondered what it was supposed to be. But the real question is rather what a Ballstretcher should be good for or be used for.

Exactly that is also the question, which should ask itself everyone, which begins to concern itself with it. What is it supposed to do for me, or whoever the wearer is?

The spectrum with testicle stretchers goes from an interesting ornament, an eye catcher, pleasurable feelings, to scrotum extension; in a BDSM context, a Ballstretcher can also be used as a punishment.

Against the background of price differences, different materials and weights of some Ballstretcher it makes sense to think carefully about Ballstretcher before ordering something and then possibly leaving it in the closet for years without ever wearing it again, like a sweater that doesn't fit properly.

My first Ballstretcher was one from a Sexshop.

I'd be lying if I said the saleswoman or I actually had a clue about it, but she still managed to sell me even two right away. I only wore these 2 times, then they sat in the closet for years before I threw them away.

As I know today, they had on the one hand the wrong inner diameter and on the other hand it turned out that these Ballstretcher were only chrome-plated, and that badly.

Already at the second wearing the chrome layer flaked off and the cheap, nickel-containing steel underneath gave me as a nickel allergy sufferer an unpleasant, just allergic skin reaction.

Normally, one of these experiences is enough to leave it at that and turn to other toys.

Thanks to the Internet and this blog, however, you don't have to have a bad "first" experience with the topic Ballstretcher.

You can read this little guide and then know what to look out for, so you can focus on what you bought or got the Ballstretcher for.

No matter for what purpose you buy a Ballstretcher (and in fact anything that somehow comes into physical contact), you should realize that nowadays it is not wise to buy the cheapest thing. Ballstretcher today you can get everywhere on the Internet and wonder about the price differences.

However, most of the time the sellers are just resellers who know nothing about the manufacturer or the materials used.

Anyone who has a nickel allergy knows what I'm talking about, if he has ever ordered or received as a gift jewelry or a leather bracelet from the Far East, which after a short time has caused red skin pustules or itching.

Then the -Geiz ist geil- was just not the best of all ideas, and for the "price" of the doctor's visit and the ointment mixed in the pharmacy you could have bought something reasonable right away.

So how do you tell the difference between junk and good?

The answer is as simple as it is difficult. As a rule, you will hardly be able to do it at first glance with ball stretchers, because they all somehow look the same to the layman. They're heavy, they're made of metal, and they're all shiny.

The only way you as the end customer can avoid being sold junk is to ask the manufacturer what materials were used.

Try that with products from the Far East, have fun with it. Fortunately, you do not belong to this group of people if you are reading this. I became aware of the company Metalltechnik Kühne (Steeltoyz) precisely because I wanted to know what had gone wrong with my first ball stretchers and how I could prevent throwing a lot of money out the window again.

Steeltoyz discloses everywhere that they do not buy the Ballstretcher somewhere, label on it and ready, but manufacture it themselves in their own manufactory. The steel used for production is medical stainless steel, which is also well tolerated by allergy sufferers.

If you have any questions, Mr. Kühne will be happy to answer them and is a competent contact, especially when it comes to implementing special requests. It is understandable that the production in Germany and the use of high-quality material compared to foreign no-name products naturally has an effect on a higher final price, but in return you also have a precise and cleanly manufactured end product made of the highest possible compatible material and you can contact the manufacturer yourself in case of problems.

Then, and only then, should you proceed to read.

Purpose, selection criteria

First of all, you should consider what purpose the Ballstretcher will have, because the further selection of the material will be based on this.

the basic idea ofBallstretcher is to enclose and stretch the scrotum above the testicles. This means that the testicles themselves are pressed into the end of the scrotum. So the longer the Ballstretcher itself is, the more weight and stretch it has

This ranges from a slight feeling of being enclosed to a strong pulling into the length, certainly with a deliberate, slight to strong sensation of pain. The first thing to consider here is what purpose the stretcher is to serve and what wearing comfort is desired, whereby it should also be considered here how long and for what occasion it is to be worn.

Pleasure or punishment, privacy or everyday wearability are the questions here.... After that, the material, the weight and also the type of closure of the ball stretcher should be selected.

Ballstretcher Silicone

Materials

First of all, you can roughly divide into soft and firm Ballstretcher, depending on the manufacturing material used. As a rule, the soft Ballstretcher have a higher comfort than those made of steel.

They can be put on without tools, worn for a long time (and without bulking up) even under street clothes and, for example, on the job or during sports, hugging the body. It may even be, a proper fit provided, that the wearer after a short acclimatization "forgets" that he wears a Ballstretcher.

Materials for soft stretchers typically include leather, silicone, latex, silicone and plastic compounds, and neoprene.

Soft stretchers, depending on the material, are all subject to some wear and limited durability due to aging processes. They become increasingly porous and the stretchability and retractability of the material, to its original diameter, diminishes somewhat over time.

Eventually, the silicone and plastic materials will crack. However, with proper care, you can enjoy them for years.

The only exception is leather. This becomes harder at worst and the wearing comfort thus changes slightly. However, leather has one clear disadvantage compared to the other ball stretch materials:

You usually can't wash and disinfect it. But again, with good care, you will enjoy your Ballstretcher longer.

In the case of solid ball stretchers, there are one-piece or two-piece ones made of different metals. In particular, the cheap ball stretchers are mostly low-grade steel, which is provided with a surface coating that at first glance looks very similar to one made of stainless steel.

At the beginning it was already mentioned that the cheap stretchers mostly come from foreign production and hardly any seller knows what material and manufacturing standards were used. Therefore, after wearing them several times, it is not uncommon for allergic reactions or flaking of the surface coatings to occur.

These are clear signs of inferior materials or inadequate workmanship. But the price difference to high-quality materials and processing must come from somewhere...

Closures

Unless they are one-piece Ballstretcher, there are different closure systems such as bonding, snaps or lacing.

Neoprene stretchers are also offered without closure, they are then glued ring-shaped. At first, you hardly believe that the glued joints will not tear. Properly processed, they do not tear, you can believe that, rather you run out of strength to pull apart.

The moderately stretchy material allows you to pull them on with one or two fingers of each hand to pass the testicles through, and then they contract to the original diameter.

This "lay-on" principle applies to all unsplit stretchers and rings made of latex, silicone or plastic blend products.

Unless bonded, neoprene stretchers are also offered with lacing or snaps as closures. Basically, glued stretchers, neoprene stretchers and all one-piece Ballstretcher have the advantage that there are no closures that can wear under clothing or that can get caught on them in the wash.

They are usually washable at 30 degrees and there are no -possible- rusting fasteners. Putting on this Ballstretcher requires a little more practice than with other types of closure. More about this under Tips.

Rings, metal sleeves

Rings, strictly speaking, are not Ballstretcher when worn individually. They are one-piece and are put on by passing the testicles through them. Here, everyone may have a different taste when it comes to wearing comfort, but because of the small diameter of the material in metal sleeves, the wearing comfort can be classified as rather low, because the edges press into the skin rather like a check card due to the small wall thickness.

Rings are put on in the same way, several rings can be worn on top of each other. This also creates the effect of a ball stretcher, but there is a risk of skin being squeezed between the rings when moving or sitting down.

A special warning about metal sleeves and metal rings:

They are also popularly worn around the penis or in combination with passing the testicles through. This principle of "penis and combination rings" is always the same. More blood should flow into the erectile tissue than can flow out. The slight congestion leads to a stronger swelling and a harder erection, which is rather perceived as pleasant. This is how it should be !!!

Often, however, with all the lust and greed for "more" in the purchase is forgotten that the penis is a corpus cavernosum, which, when it fills with blood, swells and thus changes its diameter!!! The tighter the rings or sleeves fit, the less blood can flow out and the swelling increases -under certain circumstances- over the measure intended by nature -very painful-.

In contrast to all other types of stretchers, a size chosen too small for metal rings and sleeves can have fatal consequences !!!

While stretchers made of soft materials can be quickly removed, stretched or in the worst case cut to achieve a decongestion, for metal rings or sleeves hardly anyone has a bolt cutter or tin snips at hand for safety's sake when putting them on - or you maybe?

From my own painful experience I can say that the resulting pain is not in the least eroticizable for the non-masochist and would therefore be more bearable. No cooling with water will help, and due to the additional panic at the thought of not being able to remove the ring, as well as the unintentional, enormous pain, only the quick call of the fire department remains... and finally hopefully only a hurt ego under the laughter of the firemen.

Ballstretcher

The heaviest at the end: Ballstretcher stainless steel

The "supreme discipline" among the ball stretchers are the one- or two-piece metal ball stretchers

Ball Stretchers made of metal. There are two shapes, the cylinder shape and the donut shape

Ballstretcher in donut shape are not available in all sizes and weights, possibly due to complicated manufacturing processes they are more expensive than a comparable cylindrical Ballstretcher. The doughnut shape is often perceived more pleasant because there are no outer edges.

The transitions are smooth, they fit the body slightly better and are less bulky under clothing than a cylindrical Ballstretcher.

Both shapes consist of two half shells that are screwed together. Smaller, cylindrical stretchers are also available with a single-sided joint, which makes them easier to put on. Some models have some strong neodymium magnets as a closure.

Especially if you are an allergy sufferer, you should go for a Ballstretcher that is assured by the manufacturer to be made of medical stainless steel.

Medical stainless steel is usually well tolerated by allergy sufferers

Who has allergic problems with this material, has them mostly even more with metal-coated ball stretchers. Before you experiment with different ball stretchers from the cheap segment for a long time, which will be more expensive overall, you should buy something of higher quality right away instead of buying twice or, in the worst case, even losing the fun of it.

Freely according to the motto of a well-known advertisement: "Because I am worth it!

A good wearing comfort results from three essential factors

Inner diameter, weight, and wall thickness of the ball stretcher.

The right inner diameter

Probably the most important measurement for a Ballstretcher is the inner diameter that suits you. In addition to the total weight, it has a considerable influence on the wearing comfort and thus essentially determines the pain/frustration or pleasure/joy of wearing the stretcher.

If the inner diameter is too small, there are already problems when putting it on, because the skin of the scrotum wants to push itself between the half-shells again and again, and if these are then screwed shut, this is very unpleasant. In addition, too small a diameter has a negative effect on blood circulation.

If this is impaired, the surrounding skin quickly turns dark, a sure sign that the stretcher is too tight. Increasing pain sets in as the tissue is undersupplied with oxygen, and if this condition persists for some time, serious and irreversible damage can result.

This should then definitely only excite those with a real-life hospital fetish and fans of firefighter trips to the hospital. A too small inner diameter is not sensible, especially not to bring a punishment aspect into wearing !!!

If the inner diameter is chosen too large, this can lead to one or both testicles being pushed back through the stretcher by its own weight, which is very painful and imagine this happening to you on the way..... At this point, a word of advice: always carry the Allen wrench with you.

You can test the correct inner diameter in different ways, independently or better one after the other, it will result in the right diameter for you.

A warm environment is important here, e.g. after showering or bathing. Gently pull the scrotum lengthwise and place a tape measure, thicker string, cord or wide shoelace around the scrotum at the thinnest point above the testicles.

Your pinky finger should also have room under the tape measure. Mark the point where the end comes to the other side of their measuring cord or tape measure. Measure the total length with a ruler, divide this value by 3.14 and you will get the diameter in centimeters.

With this measurement, you can buy the Ballstretcher according to its inner diameter.

However, I recommend completing one more step. Buy a metal or wooden ring with the calculated inner diameter and, if you want to be sure, one each 5 millimeters larger and smaller than the calculated diameter.

Again, while the skin is warm, gently separate the testicles and pass them one by one through the respective ring. A little oil or body lotion helps here; hand cream also does a good job of slipping. You should then be able to turn the ring without much effort.

If you can wear the ring for 20 minutes without pain or discoloration of the skin, you have found your inner diameter. If necessary, try the other rings as well. Some like it a little tighter, some a little looser, so you have the opportunity to find the diameter that is most comfortable for you.

You only have to test your ideal diameter once, so the low price for a few rings pays off in relation to a high-priced Ballstretcher, which is never used because of the wrong diameter.

Since these are hygienic items, no seller has to take back a Ballstretcher, and certainly not one-offs.

The right weight

Stainless steel ball stretchers are available in weights from 50 - 100 grams, up to the 6 kilogram range. There are hardly any weight limits in terms of manufacturing. Limits are more in the physical range of the wearer and it is said that "the eyes are bigger" than the required skills.

Start carefully and increase slowly in weight and size. If you find fun in ball stretching, it does not remain anyway with a Stretcher.

Especially the lighter stretchers can be combined with each other to adjust the weight to your wishes and goals. Ideally, from the first purchase, make sure that the stretchers have the same outer diameter and prefer different heights. This looks nicer when worn combined than different outer diameters on top of each other.

A stretcher that is too heavy, especially as a starter, will only bring frustration and pain. To determine your comfortable weight, they can wrap the scrotum several times with a wide rope and attach weights to this rope. What you are then able to carry for 20 minutes without pain should be your starting weight. 200 - 300 grams is usually not too much for a beginner.

The wall thickness / inner edge profile / bevel

As mentioned before, the wall thickness of the ball stretcher and its edge profile also determine the wearing comfort, especially which weight is bearable. As a rule of thumb, the thinner the wall thickness, the less comfortable it is to wear with increasing weight, as it presses on the scrotum and testicles with the lower "inside edge" and the lower bevel.

The lower inner edge and thickness of the face (wall thickness) thus determine how much weight the wearer individually finds comfortable.

Metal ball stretchers made by Steeltoyz do not have sharp inner and outer edges, as they are rounded by small radii.

Ballstretcher-with chamfer

At this point now the reference to a "small revolution" developed by the author and implemented with the company Steeltoyz in the production in the area of Ballstretcher

This is the enlargement of the support surface for the total weight on the testicles. Instead of a rounded lower inner edge, a bevel is turned on the inside (chamfer). Instead of an inner edge resting on the testicles, the result is an overlying bevelled surface (8x8 mm or 10x10 mm), which distributes the total weight better.

However, this is only possible with heavy ball stretchers (> 1 kg) with sufficient wall thickness (from 10 mm) and is not part of the standard metalBallstretcher from Steeltoyz.

If this idea, which has already been tested on 1.5 kg and 2.3 kg ball stretchers, convinces you and you would like to have this increase in wearing comfort on your Ballstretcher, then write to Mr. Kühne before placing an order. He will answer whether this is sensible and possible for your intended Ballstretcher.

Notice:

The chamfer is an option that requires additional work steps and is associated with small additional costs, but rest assured: it is worth it. It may reduce the overall weight slightly.

Special shapes

For the sake of completeness, the special forms of Ballstretcher should be mentioned: the cup, crusher and expander, you can also find them in the store.

The entry

No matter which type and material you choose, you will have to get used to wearing it. It is advisable to shave the scrotum before putting on the stretcher and make the skin supple with an oil. This will make it impossible to pull and tug trapped hairs, and the stretcher will glide well on the skin.

Start with short wearing times and increase them only when you still feel comfortable after taking it off. Please keep in mind that the scrotum and other parts of the scrotum may react to heavy Ballstretcher even if you have already lost weight. A slight pulling sensation and brief reddening of the skin are described by many wearers.

Initially, do not make the wearing time dependent on how you feel with the Stretcher on. Take it off after 15 - 30 minutes and feel the reactions of your body. If everything is O.K., increase the time slightly the next time.

Medical:

The testicles and scrotum are probably one of the most sensitive parts of the body. A conscious or unconscious overload is usually immediately indicated by the body with pain. Even after wearing ball stretchers, unpleasant to painful afterpains can occur. In case of doubt, do not be embarrassed and consult a doctor.

The doctor does not have to evaluate whether it is morally reprehensible that you have worn a stretcher or tried toys. He is the specialist who should be consulted in case of any subsequent effects and who will help you to get a suitable grip on a problem that has occurred.

At this point it should be mentioned that wearing heavy ball stretchers for a longer period of time, approximately from 500 grams, leads/can lead to a permanent change/extension of the scrotum. The shape of the scrotum can also change and may be irreversible.

The vas deferens are stretched by the added weight of a ball stretcher and also have to get used to the weight. It is easy to imagine that a too fast or abrupt load with a too high weight, can also lead to damage here.

The skin, body and head become increasingly accustomed to the load at this point. Some wearers report that they also wear their Stretcher during sports. Ultimately, you'll have to decide the use for yourself, but by nature, the testicles pull up against the body during movement to protect against injury.

A stretcher prevents this, increasing a risk of injury that increases with the intensity of the movement. Riding a bicycle with a Ballstretcher is certainly different from playing badminton or handball with it.

As appealing as it may be for some to wear their Ballstretcher perhaps in the sauna, it should be said that unlike a free-hanging chain, a Ballstretcher does not heat up accordingly, as it fits snugly and gives off heat through the skin. Although there is no risk of burns, the testicles are exposed to additional heat and the ability to regulate the internal temperature is considerably restricted.

Tips

Realistically, wearing ball stretchers will always cause the scrotum to show more under clothing. The larger and heavier it is, the more impossible it becomes to wear briefs and tight-fitting pants over the stretcher. Try wearing it in loose pants, without briefs, and slide the stretcher into one pant leg.

However, this is quickly noticed by the environment, which may well be intentional or calculated in as a punishment for wearing it.

Especially for the soft Ballstretcher, which are made of one piece, it applies to put them on carefully. Usually there is only the size "one size fits all". You have to exert considerable force to stretch the openings with your fingers and then pass the testicles and, in the case of combination versions, the penis through them.

One feels at first that it cannot be done without a third hand. There is a significant risk of injury if finger strength weakens and the testicles have not yet been completely passed through the stretcher. Also, the -quite sensible- use of lubricants for donning increases the risk of slipping and squeezing the testicles.

So check out the enclosed instructions for donning or from the internet and take your time!

For all ring-shaped, soft Ballstretcher of one piece, there is a little donning trick.

To be on the safe side, have a good pair of scissors ready before applying, preferably bandage scissors without a sharp tip. If something goes wrong, you can use them to cut the stretcher.

Not running until something has gone wrong is possible, but you won't run fast or far in pain and who knows if you'll remember where those stupid scissors are.... Safety first.

But now for the essentials.....

Take best a piece of plastic pipe (no No drinking glass!!!!), 20 cm length is quite enough (eg, hardware store, water pipes), in which both testicles can be inserted one after the other without pressure. Oil it lightly inside and outside first. Pull the Ballstretcher apart with two fingers each and pull it over the tube, about 1 cm before the end.

Now gently insert the testicles into the tube and slowly pull the Ballstretcher down from the tube onto the scrotum. The stretcher will then sit just right, over the testicles. At least when putting it on, you then do not need a 3rd hand. Back goes similarly, as long as it is a ring.

The longer neoprene ball stretchers can be put on like this, but not taken off like this. You have to stretch them with your fingers and pull them over the previously lightly oiled testicles. Again, practice makes perfect, so for this to work it is very important that you have bought the right size.

You will not get a neoprene ball stretcher that is too small back over the testicles and would have to cut it up. That's called teaching money..., again.

Accessories

A Ballstretcher stainless steel ball stretcher usually comes with everything needed to put it on and carry it, including the tool, an Allen wrench, to screw it on. There are other useful accessories.

Here oil for the skin, before putting on and after longer wearing time, should be mentioned, so that the Stretcher can move well on the skin and nothing is stuck.

for application on the skin (no silicone oil for machines!!!) has proven itself. It lubricates the skin much longer than baby oil or lotions.

It is recommended to wear a neoprene ring with the same inner diameter as a closure in front of the scrotum for ball stretchers with weights from 500 grams. It forms a soft closure and distributes the weight more evenly over the scrotum. Different neoprene rings are also available here in the store.

Care

Ballstretcher made of metal, silicone and neoprene can be hand washed with common hand soap. Silicone and neoprene can be washed in the washing machine or dishwasher according to the manufacturer's instructions. Stainless steel ball stretchers may also be put in the dishwasher, but my own experience has shown that polished stainless steel becomes visibly dull after several dishwasher cycles and no longer shines beautifully.

Neoprene and silicone can withstand washing machine programs, but there are various additives in the washing powder whose effects on the different materials are unknown. There is a difference between exposing the bondings of neoprene stretchers briefly to water and soap when hand washed, and rolling them in the wash water for hours.

Let everyone decide for themselves. In my experience, hand washing is quite sufficient; if you want, use a mild disinfectant afterwards, but please one that is suitable for sensitive surfaces such as those of plastics.

Finally, I hope that this guide has helped you to answer questions about Ballstretcher, that you have been made aware of possible dangers, and that you have been able to find the right Ballstretcher for you.
