Avoid pressure on the neck, joints and vulnerable nerve paths. Check the restrained person’s skin colour, temperature, sensation and movement regularly, and never leave them alone. Release restraints immediately if sharp pain, numbness, breathing problems or panic occurs. Keep suitable emergency cutters within reach, agree on clear signals before play and include a physical check and aftercare once the session has ended.
